T-Ball, Potty Party, Rearranging

Well, today started off with Trevor sleeping until 8 AM and Haleigh sleeping until 9 AM. Thank you, thank you kids....way to start the day off right! Haleigh hurried and got her "practice" clothes on, packed up her t-ball stuff, and we all walked down to the park for her first T-ball practice. There were a lot of boys on her team and one other girl. It was so much fun to get out and watch kids having fun and learning about baseball. There are a few really good sluggers on Haleigh's team. Haleigh is definitely part tom-boy and part princess because she'll swing that bat as hard as most the boys, but she gets quite dainty when actually hitting the ball. She'll swing hard, but then stop right before the bat gets to the ball and then lightly tap the ball off the tee. She's kind of the same way when she throws. We've taught her that she needs to lead with her opposite foot when throwing but sometimes it seems like the throw comes before the step or she just doesn't dare throw the ball hard.

After we got home from T-ball practice we had time for lunch and a little quiet time before heading out to a princess potty party. What's a princess potty party you ask? Well, it's one of the cutest ideas I've seen and it was for our adorable neighbor Hannah Martins. She has just officially been potty trained and so her mom put together a cute princess party for some of the neighborhood girls. All the girls were invited to show up in their princess attire at the royal Martins castle. I love our neighborhood because there are always such cute things going on and Haleigh has so many little friends to share her days with. I think Niki did such a great job coming up with cute games to play and activities to keep the girls busy. Thanks Niki and congratulations Hannah!!!

Playing hot slipper....the girls had to pass the slipper as fast as they could around the circle and when the music stopped that person was out. Haleigh won this little game and she was so happy about it. She said she just didn't want to get burned. Makes sense.

Haleigh is way off this time. I think she actually went all the way over to the wall

After getting home from the party we decided to rearrange Trevor's room. He is getting too big for his changing table because of his height, but more because of his constant wiggling. It's easier and safer to just change him on the floor so that he doesn't flip or twist himself off the edge of his table. It was nice to get rid of the table because there will be more room now for him to crawl or walk around and play. While I was moving the furniture around I caught both Haleigh and Trevor looking at books and luckily had placed the camera conveniently on Trevor's dresser. I love that they both love books and reading. Trevor, unfortunately, also loves the tearing of pages so we have to make sure all his books are the hard cardboard ones for now. Now we just need to finish rearranging Haleigh's room so she has more room and we're on our way!
