Halloween 2009

Last night was such a fun Halloween. My parents came down to help and spend time with us and I'm so glad they did. I can't imagine answering the door while I'm trying to get dinner ready, get kids dressed in costumes, and go trick-or-treating. Poor Matt had to work and I felt bad that he missed out on all the fun. Trevor was truly a sight to be seen. He absolutely LOVED Halloween this year. It took him one or two doors to figure out what was going on and he was all for candy, candy, and more candy. Some of the doors he would march right up to, pound on, and then yell when the person answered the door. I felt so bad for taking him back home when I did because he was having such a good time, but the weather was getting chilly and it was bed time for little Nemo. After dropping Trevor back at the house, I took Haleigh back out to "hit" some more houses. We had a lot of fun and I could tell when Haleigh was finally wearing down. It was getting cold and she was tired of walking, but thankfully I had brought the stroller that she could stand or sit on when she got tired. What a great year of trick-or-treating and I love the fact that our neighborhood is still safe enough to take the kids around door-to-door and see friends and neighbors while you walk around. I can't wait for next year. Trevor will be heading up the trick-or-treating for sure! My little Silvermist fairy answering the door.
